THE PROBLEM
A girl in Zimbabwe may miss up to 3-7 days of school every month because she doesn't have what she needs to manage her period. Girls often resort to using newspaper, corn husks, cotton, or rags to manage their menstruation. A lack of period products, inadequate or no toilet facilities, and limited health education are all barriers keeping girls at home.
THE SOLUTION
The Restoration Hem Project works in partnership with schools, churches, community leaders, and other stakeholders to provide reusable sanitary pads, information and girl-friendly toilets for school going girls in Zimbabwe to manage their periods safely and in a healthy way. At every reusable pad kits distribution our goal is to create an environment where girls feel free to learn and share about a topic which is often taboo and avoided in the culture.
Each reusable pad kit is handmade by local individuals who are dedicated to quality and hearts full of love to make sure every girl in need receives our best work!
All this will not be possible without your support. It costs $25 to provide one girl with a reusable pad kit that is designed to last her up to 3 years!
