Redefine The Cycle
MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY
MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY

For Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, we have a goal to come together once again to raise $5,000 to get our reusable pad kits to more girls in Zimbabwe.

A girl in Zimbabwe may miss up to 5 days of school every month because she doesn't have what she needs to manage her period.

Girls often resort to using newspaper, corn husks, cotton, or rags to manage their menstruation. A lack of period products, inadequate or no toilet facilities, and limited health education are all barriers keeping girls at home.

1 out of 5 girls in Zimbabwe misses school during her period.
3 out of 4 girls in Zimbabwe aren't prepared for their first period.
80% of schools in Zimbabwe don’t have appropriate facilities for girls to manage their periods.
Girls walk an average of 3 miles daily to collect water.

"Before we received the kits, we girls were facing many problems due to inadequate resources. Some of us would be absent from school for many days during menstruation. But now, we can do anything."
